Türkiye’de cumhurbaşkanlığı seçimleri her zaman problemli olmuştur. Sonuncusu da öyle oldu. 2002’den bu yana tek başına iktidar olan AKP’nin Cumhurbaşkanı adayı Abdullah Gül, kolay bir seçimle cumhurbaşkanı olacak denilirken, bu seçimde ortaya son anda çıkarılan ‘ilk turda 367 yeter sayısı bulunmazsa ikinci tura geçilemez’ görüşü bir anda ortalığı kapladı.
